Desmond and Easter 2010

Settle in. This is a long one...over 9 minutes. As you will see. Desmond had a wonderful time spending Easter weekend with his "Bopo" and "Grams" in Colorado Springs. We tried a to capture a few of the high points such as D's grass piling skills, Bopo's great train impression and lots more. Password is "archer". Enjoy.

where's the love, mommy?!

this photo was taken a month or so ago -- i think he was trying tomato for the first time -- in preparation for a birthday trip to anthony's (lucky kid). anyway, it's a fairly good representation of our gradual entry into toddlerland. desmond is definitely becoming more of an individual and letting his likes and dislikes be known (loudly).

that said, he's still pretty amazing about eating almost anything healthy you put in front of him...but the occasional side helping of bananas (his hands-down favorite food), pizza, or a milkshake definitely helps wash it all down. which reminds me that we haven't posted any of his forays into ethnic cuisine: middle eastern, indian, ethiopian...he loves it all!

just a few quick notes (mommy can't resist):

1) this video was taken the day after Thanksgiving 2009 in a Florida hotel...so obviously we're more than a bit behind with this blog! desmond's skill set has increased considerably since then...but he still likes to get loud, shrill and silly.

2) D's forehead was red at the time from constant rubbing on the crib sheet while he "practiced" sitting up in his sleep...kinda looks like a birthmark (or a smear of strawberry jam) in the video

3) i can't believe this was only 2 months ago! he's now crawling/pulling up/saying a handful of words...it's true what they say: it goes way too fast.
